Is the SR-56 / Bruce B. Downs intersection getting unbearable for anyone else?

The left turn from SR-56 onto BBD southbound backs up halfway to the interstate at evening rush now. With all the new apartments off Mansfield I don't see it improving. Anyone found a workaround that saves time?
