Wright's Gourmet House, the decades-old Tampa deli and bakery known for its overstuffed sandwiches and made-from-scratch cakes, is coming to Wesley Chapel. Caspers Company, the brand's owner, says the new restaurant is planned for the corner of State Road 56 and La Juana Road, with an opening targeted for summer 2028.
For Wesley Chapel residents, it means one of the Tampa Bay area's most enduring food names will finally have an outpost on the fast-growing State Road 56 corridor — no drive to South Tampa required to pick up a signature sandwich or a special-occasion cake.

The Wesley Chapel location is one of the ways the company says it plans to grow the brand beyond its longtime home. According to the company, new locations are intended to carry forward the original Marjorie Wright recipes, standards, and service culture that built the restaurant's reputation.
In a news release, the company described the goal as keeping the experience consistent no matter where guests find Wright's — saying a new space should feel, in its words, like walking into a well-loved room of the same house.
Note: Summer 2028 is the current target. Opening dates for projects this far out often shift as construction, permitting, and site work progress.
