Eugenia McDowell
Wesley Chapel mother Eugenia McDowell has asked for a judge to declare that the teacher and school (Wiregrass Ranch Elementary) were wrong in not allowing her child Kaden to kneel while other children spoke the pledge of allegiance.
Eugenia McDowell (FB) of Wesley Chapel has complained that her son Kaden’s treatment was unconstitutional. She says in a lawsuit that she received a message from teacher Julie Darland saying the class was learning what it means to be a good citizen, and that included standing for the pledge.
Eugenia is seeking up to $75,000 in “damages” from the school board over the incident.
