Wild Hogs Tearing Up Communities in Wesley Chapel

The damage seen above is actually from a wild hog. This issue has been hitting communities such as Estancia at Wiregrass, Meadow Pointe, Arbors, and other Wiregrass area communities for several months.

The wild hogs come in at night and destroy entire lawns causing thousands in damages to landscaping.

As you can see, the animals can cause significant damage in a few minutes and all while you are sleeping.

Experts say the animals are looking for worms and other bugs under the grass.

In the mean time, communities like Estancia at Wiregrass have hired professional trappers to come in and remove the animals, but this is a lengthy process.

Some have turned to non-lethal devices like the one below to repel the hogs until trappers can catch them.
