WESLEY CHAPEL, FL – The Wesley Chapel and surrounding community is under a Heat Advisory!

While Florida’s summers are known to be hot, it’s going to feel even hotter. The National Weather Service has issued Tampa Bay’s first heat advisory for the summer.

The heat index (what it feels like outside) could reach 110 degrees today, and daily for the next few days.

HEAT SAFETY:

  1. Never leave a child, adult, or animal alone inside a vehicle on a warm day.

  2. Watch for heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.

  3. Check yourself, family members, and neighbors for signs of heat-related illness.

  4. Avoid strenuous activities, wear light clothing, and drink plenty of fluids.
