WESLEY CHAPEL, FL - A line of afternoon thunderstorms, complete with vigorous lightning, has left over 3,000 Wesley Chapel residents without power due to damaged power lines. The Withlacoochee River Electric Co-Op (WREC) has responded, dispatching crews to begin repairs as of 6:40 pm.
WREC is actively working on restoring power and advises residents to exercise caution, especially around downed power lines. Updates on power restoration progress will be available on the WREC website and local news outlets.
