Swig, the Utah-born “dirty soda” chain that has built a following on social media, is coming to Curley Road near the Epperson community — though an opening date has not yet been set.

The drive-thru beverage brand has confirmed a future location at 8076 Curley Road in Wesley Chapel, listing the site as “Coming Soon” on its official store finder. The shop sits along the rapidly developing Curley Road corridor near Overpass Road, one of northern Wesley Chapel’s fastest-growing retail and residential areas.

Construction at the site is underway. In March, a franchise partner involved in the company’s Tampa Bay expansion said work had begun on the Wesley Chapel store but did not provide a target opening date. The company has signaled a measured rollout, focusing on establishing its newly opened Lutz shops before bringing additional locations online.

Key Facts
  • Location: 8076 Curley Road, Wesley Chapel, near Overpass Road in the Epperson area
  • Concept: Drive-thru “dirty soda” and treat shop
  • Status: Under construction; listed as “Coming Soon” by Swig
  • Opening date: Not yet announced
  • Tampa Bay footprint: Two locations already open in Lutz

What Is a “Dirty Soda”?

Founded in Utah in 2010, Swig built its name on customizable fountain drinks that mix classic sodas with flavored syrups, fruit purees and creamy add-ins. The format took off on TikTok, where signature combinations and novelty drinks helped turn the regional chain into a national brand. Swig now operates roughly 140 locations across more than a dozen states, with several additional Florida stores in the pipeline.

The menu leans on house creations rather than a standard soda lineup, alongside refreshers, energy drinks and sweet snacks. The drive-thru model is central to the brand, designed to catch commuter traffic — a fit for the Curley Road and Overpass Road corridor, which has seen steady commercial growth since the I-75 interchange opened.

Where Swig Already Operates in Tampa Bay

The Wesley Chapel shop would add to a footprint the company has been steadily expanding across the region. Swig opened its first area store in Lutz in November 2025 and has since added a second nearby location.

A Growing Retail Corridor

The Swig site falls within a stretch of Curley Road that has drawn a wave of new development in recent years. Commercial activity near the Overpass Road intersection has accelerated alongside the build-out of Epperson, home to the area’s Crystal Lagoon, and neighboring communities such as Watergrass. A Publix anchors nearby retail, with national chains including a Circle K, Starbucks and Chick-fil-A among the businesses that have opened or moved into the surrounding area.

For families in Epperson and along the northern Wesley Chapel growth front, the addition gives residents another quick-service option close to home as the corridor continues to mature into a local dining and errand hub.

What Is Not Yet Known

Swig has not announced an opening date or operating hours for the Wesley Chapel location, and its store finder lists both as forthcoming. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
