Wesley Chapel, FL - A small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in a field off State Road 56 (SR-56) in Wesley Chapel Wednesday morning.
The unexpected landing took place near the Porter Campus of Pasco Hernando State College, causing some alarm among local residents.
According to officials, the plane was en route from Clearwater to Zephyrhills when it encountered fuel problems that necessitated an urgent landing. Fortunately, the pilot managed to land the aircraft safely in a nearby field without causing any injuries or significant damage.
One person who witnessed the unusual landing, spoke to the pilot shortly after. The pilot confirmed that he was unharmed but had experienced issues with his plane that required an immediate landing. The quick thinking and skilled maneuvering of the pilot helped avoid any potential disaster.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene promptly to assess the situation and ensure the safety of all parties involved.
A tow/transport company will remove the plane.
