School Bus Crash with Semi Injures Several at I75 and State Road 52

Authorities are reporting that State Road 52 is closed and all traffic is being diverted onto southbound I75 as a result of a crash involving a school bus. According to a Pasco County spokesman, the crash happened just before 5 p.m. on State Road 52 at the Interstate 75 overpass.  Reports say one adult and three children were injured aboard the bus. One of them was hospitalized.

The cause of the crash is not yet announced.  The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating. As previously mentioned, eastbound State Road 52 is closed.  All traffic is being diverted onto southbound I-75. There is heavy traffic in the area and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
