One Dead after Shooting at Pasco Park

ZEPHYRHILLS – According to the Pasco Sheriffs Office there was a fatal shooting at a county park in nearby Zephyrhills. The park was open and had families present playing sports when the shooting occurred. According to the Sheriffs Office Statement:

“Pasco Sheriff’s deputies are on scene of a shooting at Samuel Pasco Athletic Park in Zephyrhills. One person was shot and is deceased. Preliminary information indicates the suspect or suspects are believed to be in a white 4-door sedan. Deputies on scene are working to obtain a better suspect description, which will be shared when obtained. Preliminary information also indicates that the victim was targeted for unknown reasons and that this incident was not a random act. At this time, there is no threat to the public. If you have any additional information, please call 911 immediately.”
