New Temporary 3rd lane opens on eastbound SR 56

 

Wesley Chapel, FL -- To help with traffic congestion in the diverging diamond construction area during the busy holiday season, a temporary third lane opened this morning on eastbound SR 56 from east of Grand Cypress Drive to east of I-75. The extra lane is expected to remain open until after the New Year’s holiday period in January 2022. Also, motorists entering southbound I-75 from eastbound SR 56 need to be alert that the entrance ramp entry point has been moved west, meaning drivers exit SR 56 to the ramp sooner.
