A new Elementary School will soon begin construction in the Wiregrass area of Wesley Chapel.  In response, Parents are being put on notice that school zones in the Wesley Chapel Area will change.

According to Pasco County Schools: “In August 2016, we will be opening a new school in Wiregrass. The opening of the new school will relieve the crowding at Seven Oaks, Sand Pine, and Double Branch elementary schools. That means that we need to make some adjustments to those schools’ boundaries. A committee of district staff, school staff and parents has been meeting to look at current boundaries and projected areas of growth due to new construction. Based on these meetings, we have come up with a recommendation for redrawing the boundaries of these three schools. ”

Pasco County Schools has released a map of its proposed Elementary School Zones for the 2016-2017 School year. The changes have gained mixed reactions from parents, some who are upset their children will be reassigned. The proposed boundary changes are found at http://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/planning/rezoning/.
