If a trip to New River Branch Library is on your October calendar, keep Monday, October 12 clear: Pasco County Libraries lists a systemwide closure that day for staff development.
The library's current notice says branches will reopen at their regular hours on Tuesday, October 13. For New River in the Wesley Chapel area, that means the usual Tuesday opening at 10 a.m. This is a planned one-day closure, not a change to the branch's regular weekly schedule.
The dates to put on your calendar
- Monday, October 12, 2026: Pasco County Libraries locations closed for Staff Development Day.
- Tuesday, October 13: Regular hours resume, according to the library's published notice.
The official holiday calendar identifies the October 12 closure separately from the county system's November and December holiday dates. Check the entry for the date of your visit rather than relying on a general holiday list.
New River's regular hours
The branch's published schedule is 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It is closed on Sundays.
That later Tuesday closing may help residents who need to rearrange a Monday visit, but anyone planning to attend a particular activity should check its event listing separately. Opening hours do not confirm that a class or meeting will take place.
Where to check before leaving home
New River Branch Library is at 34043 Wesley Chapel Blvd., Wesley Chapel, FL 33543. Call (813) 788-6375 with branch-specific questions, and consult the official page for changes before traveling.
Moving a library visit to another day is a small adjustment. Knowing the closure date ahead of time can prevent an unnecessary trip.
