Starting Sunday, July 1, HART is launching the new Route 275LX, connecting Pasco County and North Tampa to Tampa International Airport and business districts in downtown Tampa and the Westshore area.
This seven day a week limited express route, the first of its kind in the region, will provide hourly service, connecting Hillsborough and Pasco Counties, and easy access throughout the Tampa Bay region for employment, entertainment, medical and educational opportunities. Customers can enjoy daily rides to or from the airport, seven days a week for only $2 per trip and stay connected with free onboard Wi-Fi. Using their Wi-Fi enabled device, they can check their e-mail, complete work tasks, or surf the web from the comfort of their seats.

The soon-to-launch Route 275LX will merge with Route 51LX to provide hourly service beginning at 6:00 a.m., with 13 stops between the Pasco County Public Transportation (PCPT) Park-N-Ride (at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel in Wiregrass Ranch) and the University area, with 28 total stops to TIA. Service will be available until 10 p.m.
New Tampa will have stops at BBD and Hunter’s Lake Dr., Hunter’s Green Dr., Richmond Place Dr., Highwoods Preserve Pkwy., Commerce Palms Blvd./Lowe’s, Palm Springs Blvd., Tampa Palms Blvd., Amberly Dr. and Lake Forest Dr.
From there, the 275LX will head south, turn west on Fowler to I-275, to the Marion Transit Center in downtown Tampa, to stops on Westshore Blvd. and Spruce St. before arriving at the TIA rental car facility.
The new Route 275LX is a bonus for New Tampa and Wesley Chapel employees traveling to and from work, as well as the estimated 123,000 residents living in communities within the service area. This route will also reduce traffic congestion on regional roadways, which means less pollution and a lowered carbon footprint for these thriving communities.
In fact, area residents and businesses in both New Tampa and Wesley Chapel requested this route. It was the valuable customer feedback during the Authority public meetings and hearings that inspired the vision. In response to passenger requests, HART responded by investing funds provided by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in a cost-efficient manner that will save taxpayers and customers money.
