WESLEY CHAPEL, FL - A man was transported to the hospital following a shooting incident in new apartment community, Silversaw, north of Tampa Premium Outlets on Thursday evening (Sept 12th) in Wesley Chapel. Pasco County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene of a shooting around 6:15 p.m., according to official reports.
According to the Pasco Sheriff's Office and local media reports, preliminary investigations suggest that an argument between two adult men, who are known to each other, escalated into an exchange of gunfire. One man was shot and received medical attention; his current condition has not been disclosed. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle before law enforcement arrived and remains at large.
"This appears to be an isolated incident among known parties," stated the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. Deputies are actively searching for the suspect as the investigation continues.
Residents in the area are urged to remain vigilant and report any relevant information to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
