PASCO COUNTY – At 10:44 a.m. on Tuesday, the Florida Highway Patrol received a call concerning cows in the southbound lanes of the interstate. According to officials, Interstate 75 in Pasco County was closed in both directions at State Road 52 (Northbound Closed) and Lake Iola Road (Southbound Closed). The closure was due to numerous cattle, some deceased, accidentally released from a truck carrying them on the interstate.

The closure is causing traffic delays for miles as all traffic is forced off at one of two exits.
