ALERT: Emergency Search Underway Near SR 56 and Mansfield Boulevard in Wesley Chapel

A large law enforcement search was underway Saturday evening, April 4, 2026, in the area of State Road 56 and Mansfield Boulevard as the Pasco Sheriff’s Office worked to locate three missing juveniles. As of the latest update, shared at about 6:45 p.m., deputies were asking residents in the area to remain alert and report any possible sightings immediately.

According to the information provided, the first juvenile is described as a mixed-race male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 120 pounds, last seen wearing a black T-shirt and gray basketball shorts. He reportedly has brown eyes and dark brown hair.

The second juvenile is described as a Black female who was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and gray sweatpants. She reportedly has brown dreadlocks with blonde tips.

The third juvenile is described as a mixed-race male last seen wearing a navy blue shirt with “Acosta” on the back and unknown-colored shorts. He reportedly has dark brown hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on his left forearm.

Residents in the SR 56 and Mansfield Boulevard area were being asked to watch carefully for anyone matching these descriptions. If anyone spots the juveniles, or sees someone who may fit one of the descriptions, they should contact the Pasco Sheriff’s Office right away at 727-847-8102, option 7.

According to local accounts familiar with the situation, the juveniles may have left a nearby mental health facility. Multiple deputies were reportedly searching the area, along with aircraft, drones, and K-9 teams. A local emergency notification was also sent to nearby residents asking for help from the community.

This remains a developing situation. Residents are encouraged to stay alert, avoid interfering with search operations, and monitor official updates from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.
