The Florida Department of Transportation is studying a new type of intersection to replace the existing one at State Road 56 and I-75 in Wesley Chapel. The new concept calls for lanes to cross each other (controlled by traffic signals) to reduce the number of total cross points. Other states have used this type of intersection and report substantial improvement in traffic flow and capacity.
