Chancey Road Extension Shows Progress

Another leg of the Chancey Road Extension is showing significant progress as of Sunday June 28th. Eventually Chancey Road will connect State Road 581 (Bruce B Downs) on the east to US 301 (Gall Blvd) to the west. There are a few segments still being constructed or negotiated. The one in the photograph above is near the Estancia at Wiregrass Subdivision, and this leg is expected to open soon. Drivers hope that this new east west alternative will relieve traffic on State Road 54 which is crowded each day.
