The Shops at Wiregrass is hosting its Candy Crawl on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 28211 Paseo Drive in Wesley Chapel, giving families a free daytime alternative to trick-or-treating.

The first 500 children to arrive get a free treat bag and a mini pumpkin to decorate, so organizers' listing advises getting there early.

What's planned

The event lineup includes a Touch-a-Truck display, a costume swap and donation station, candy handed out by local businesses, and a bounce house with an inflatable obstacle course, according to the event listing. Live entertainment is planned throughout the day, with a costume contest set for 1:30 p.m.

The Candy Crawl is organized in partnership with and benefits TBMG Cares, Inc., and is also listed on The Shops at Wiregrass' own events calendar as presented by Bright Horizons.
