Avalon Park Wesley Chapel Fall Fest set for Oct. 17 with youth talent show and kids market

Avalon Park Wesley Chapel will hold Fall Fest this Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 4424 Friendly Way. The community's event calendar lists a talent show, kids zone, vendors, food trucks, a pumpkin patch and live music.

The festival is presented by Higher Growth Journey Foundation & Enterprises, and the organizer's fall festival page carries most of the details for families whose kids want to take part.

Two ways for kids to get on stage

The morning starts with a Young Entrepreneur Spotlight, where kids take the stage and present their businesses to the community. The organizer lists recognition awards including Best Overall Business and a Community Impact Award. Participants check in at 9:30 a.m.

A Youth Talent Show for ages 5 to 17 follows at midday, featuring singers, dancers, musicians and other performers. Cash prizes are $75 for first place, $50 for second and $25 for third. According to the organizer, judges will score creativity, presentation, stage presence and overall performance.

Evening Kids Market

The Avalon Park calendar also lists a separate Kids Market at Fall Fest that evening, running until the festival closes at 9 p.m.

How to sign up or ask questions

The organizer's page lists applications for the entrepreneur spotlight, the talent show, judges and volunteers. Volunteers are asked to help with setup, guest assistance, activities and talent support. Businesses interested in a booth should note the organizer says vendor spaces are limited.
