Wesley Chapel, Weightman, Quail Hollow schools placed on lockdown

Wesley Chapel Elementary, Quail Hollow Elementary, Weightman Middle, and Wesley Chapel High Schools were all on lockdown for a short time Wednesday morning according to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office and Pasco County School District.

According to news releases, sounds of gunshots were heard and reported to law enforcement. Schools were locked down for safety as law enforcement searched the area. Deputies found no threats, and schools were returned to normal a short time later.
