WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. (Feb. 14, 2026) , If you are near Mirada Lagoon on Saturday morning, Feb. 14, do not be surprised if you see parachutes drifting toward the water.
Event information shared with our newsroom indicates the Red Bull Skydive Team and Skydive City in Zephyrhills plan to use Mirada Lagoon as a landing site for a planned skydiving demonstration. The jumps are expected to take place between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., with professional skydivers landing directly in the lagoon.
Residents may notice increased aircraft activity during that window. That can include low flying planes making repeated passes over the area as jumpers exit and descend. People nearby may also see multiple parachutes in the sky at once as the team stages several jumps.
Mirada Lagoon sits in the Mirada community in San Antonio, just north of Wesley Chapel, and has become a recognizable local landmark. Organizers say the landing area will be restricted during the demonstration to keep the activity controlled and safe, and visitors should follow any posted directions and avoid entering the immediate landing zone while skydivers are in the air.
Skydive City, often known locally as “Z Hills,” is based in Zephyrhills and is one of the region’s best known skydiving operations. The Red Bull Skydive Team is known for precision demonstrations and advanced canopy work.
