Women who are pregnant now have a place to go right here in Wesley Chapel! According to the Land O Lakes Patch, Oasis – A Pregnancy Care Center recently opened to serve Wesley Chapel Mother’s to be, including New Tampa and Zephyrhills areas.
“The new center began serving clients at 5854 Argerian Drive, Suite 101, on May 1 and is now available to provide a variety of services to pregnant women and their families, said Maria Costa, center director.
While the new center is smaller than its Land O’ Lakes counterpart, Costa said it offers “exactly the same services.” For some things, including shopping for baby items with points earned through taking parenting classes, women may have to travel to Land O’ Lakes though.
Services available through Oasis include:
- Pregnancy tests
- Ultrasounds by appointment
- Options counseling
- Pregnancy care information
- Parenting classes
- Relationship building training
- Bible study and support groups
- Abstinence education
According to it’s website, Oasis is a faith-based nonprofit that was founded by Peter Castellani to provide area women support. It doesn’t charge clients for services, Castellani said. Instead, it relies on support from churches and the community. It is also staffed by a team of volunteers who are trained to offer assistance, help with reception duties and more.
The Wesley Chapel location is open Tuesdays, 4-8 p.m. and Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. For more inforamtion, call 813-618-5037 or visit Oasis Pregnancy Center online.
