Bonterra Parc Apartments

3/4/14 (TBO.COM) –  A.G. Spanos Corporation recently broke ground on Bonterra Parc, a 264-unit luxury apartment complex on State Road 56 in Northwood. Florida Division Manager Hardy Gillespie said the $20 million complex will appeal to young professionals and seniors alike because each building will be equipped with elevators.

A.G. Spanos has developed 20 multifamily projects in Florida, including two in Wesley Chapel.

“We built the complex adjacent to this one, and we did Arlington at Northwood, right across S.R. 56,” Gillespie said. “We no longer own them. What we build, we usually sell to pension funds. So we’ll operate this complex until the right buyer comes along.”

The apartments at Bonterra Parc will feature high-end finishes, such as wood-like floors, stainless steel appliances and granite counters, placing it “a couple of notches above those two,” Gillespie said.[divider]

2/20/14 (BIZJOURNALS.COM) – A.G. Spanos Construction has begun moving dirt on a new apartment complex in Wesley Chapel.

The project, located at the junction of State Road 56 and Northwood Palms Blvd., calls for five four-story buildings, 264 units, and will be called Bonterra Parc.

“They’ll definitely be luxury apartments,” said Hardy Gillespie, Florida division manager for Spanos Corp., “in line with the Triple A product in that area.”

Spanos is actively pursuing bids from subcontractors, and most of the jobs have not been contracted, Gillespie said.

A building permit put the project price tag at $19,916,000. Gillespie said that Bonterra Parc will probably open “around this time next year.”
