FRAUD ALERT: Unpaid Toll Notice

The Florida Department of Transportation has issued a warning about a new scam hitting your mailbox. Residents have received this very official “Final Warning Notice” from a company called “Toll Enforcement, LLC.” These notices instruct recipients to pay their late $7 toll as well as a $50 “fee” for a total of $57 threatening vehicle immobilization, suspension of your driver’s license, or an additional $500 fee.

“Toll Enforcement, LLC” does not exist according to the Florida Division of Corporations.

Legitimate notices of unpaid tolls or toll violations issued by FDOT list the date, time, and location of the alleged violation and a photo of the vehicle passing through a toll plaza.
